Jamie graduated from the University of Glasgow with a BSc (Hons) in Immunology and a Master of Research (MRes) in Biomedical Sciences. Jamie’s university education consisted of a range of studies including Chemistry and Statistics along with his main specialization of Life Sciences.

Before completing his Masters’s degree, Jamie also spent some time working for Merck as a Viral Clearance Scientist.

Upon completion of his Master’s studies, Jamie moved into the Education sector in Vietnam and taught English as a second language for over 3 years. In this role, he coached learners in a wide range of skills from grammar and speaking to presentation skills and academic writing.

Outside of teaching, Jamie has a passion for language and culture, which is one of the main things that drew him to Vietnam in the first place. He has studied French and Scottish Gaidhlig in the past and has enjoyed trying to pick up some Vietnamese during his time in Vietnam.
