Lewis completed his master’s degree in Physics at Lancaster University in 2020, graduating with First Class Honours.
In his third year, he studied abroad at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand, where he researched the effects of redshift on observations of quasi-stellar objects. After returning to Lancaster for his final year, he conducted a year-long project developing simulations of dark matter detectors, focusing on dielectric haloscopes.
During his degree, Lewis developed a keen interest in teaching, particularly in an international setting, and this led him to spend two years working as an assistant language teacher at a high school and junior high school in rural Japan.
As a teacher, Lewis likes to take a patient and understanding approach tailored to the individual needs of his students. He strongly believes in supporting and encouraging students while ‘learning by doing’ and loves to see their confidence grow as their abilities improve.
In his free time, Lewis loves to travel and explore new places. He also enjoys cycling, listening to music and taking photos.
